BANDAI MG Guff Custom Build # 3 Painting (gradation painting) + weathering

Hello, I’m the caretaker. This time I would like to proceed with painting.
Since the painting theme gives a feeling of desert, we will use a color that is quite different from the original color.

Power pipe

Although it is a power pipe, gate processing is difficult every time, so this time I tried to file it after sticking it with adhesive. File is pretty easy.

I was aiming for a desert-like atmosphere, so I chose a color based on the tongue I bought a long time ago.
Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black → Tan is painted with gradation
Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black → Wood brown with gradation painting
Knee and back backpack Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black → Mr. Color C43 Wood Brown + Matte Black, I used a color that was made too much with Johnny Leidenzak.

Inner frame

I used Aircraft Gray to make the frame part a little brighter.
Mr. Surfacer 1200 → Mr. Color C73 Aircraft Gray
I’m using brown paint for smearing.

Painting completed

Basic painting is complete. I got a desert-like feeling. Looking at the photo, I feel that the black background is particularly noticeable. It might have been better to get used to it a little more.

The decal used this time is Gundam Decal DX 05 [One Year War / Zeon].
Decal I put a coat of arms from the California base in North America on my shoulder.

Assorted various Zeon decals make it easy to use.

Sumi putting & Chipping

Apply matte black enamel paint to the sponge and tap it lightly to make it dirty and create an atmosphere.
This time, I used three colors for the smearing, and the painted surface close to black uses gray tongue, and the place painted with brown is used.

Weathering paste

After a long time, I used GSI Creos “Mr. Weathering Paste Mud 2” only at my feet.

I think I managed to land. I’m worried that the base color of the gradation painting is still strong, but I think the atmosphere has come out quite a bit.

Speaking of Gouf, Ramba Ral and Gundam were fighting in the desert, so I tried to bring the Gouf I made this time to the desert. Isn’t it a fairly realistic color in battle?
I am not satisfied.
