Hello, I am Duck, the administrator.
This time, I painted the weapons and other equipment and the backpack. The Sinanju has a magnificent backpack and shield, but I painted them separately from the main body. The propellant tank has to be removed from the joints, which is not easy to do in the Master Grade series, and the shield has to be engraved, which is a surprisingly long process. Please refer to the item-by-item explanation.
Rifle
First, the rifle.
This is a relatively simple item, but it is finished with a gradation of paint.
The paint used is a gradation of surfacer black to gray violet. The paint is partially divided by enamel paint and Gundam markers.
Shield
Next is the shield.
This is a symbolic item among the Sinanju’s accessories, with engravings that are prominent even in the box art. This time, it is finished using the included decals.
At first I used water transfer, but the color was not quite right, so I put a plating marking sticker on top.
Apply dry decals and spray with matte clear to complete.
A beam axe or other items can be stored behind the shield.
Beam axe and Beam saber
I didn’t have many ideas for the beam axe, so I painted it mainly with burnt iron, and painted the pipe-like parts with enamel paint red by brush.
The beam saber is painted in one color of red.
backpack
The backpack is also large, as this is a fairly large kit.
I was relieved that the propellant tanks were able to eliminate the joints.
The paint is a gradation paint. Basically, the shield is painted the same way.
The gradation painting is done from gray surfacer to Kreos maroon to fluorescent red.
I boldly used fluorescent red, which is too bright, because the gradation paint produces a relatively dark color.
The painting of the backpack is now complete. Areas that would normally use white are painted with Gull Gray.
Decare
The dry decals were the most difficult part of the project. It is partly because there are so many of them, but it is also because I have trouble seeing the numbers in the instruction manual and the dry decals due to my old eyes.
I would like to get a loupe for work that will make it easier to see.
Summary
This completes the painting of the backpack and accessories. This is a rather large kit, so it took a lot of time to paint this block.
This time, I used gradation paint. Although the paint job is relatively modest, I would like to apply the gradation a little more firmly on the main body.
The engraving on the shield was done with stickers, but the main body will be painted.
I am satisfied because I was able to do everything I wanted to do after the temporary assembly.
The next process is painting the main body. It will take a lot of time as this time.
