STRIKE FREEDOMGUNDAM
Full Paint · Gold Frame · Solid Color Finish
A two-month build focused on the kit’s original engineering rather than major modification.

MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam is a kit where the internal frame is almost a finished subject by itself. For this build I avoided major modifications and focused on preserving the different gold finishes, painting the armor with even solid colors, and making the kit’s detailed engineering visually coherent.
Three things I wanted to see
Gold Frame. The kit combines multiple gold appearances. I kept the plated gold mostly untouched and painted selected molded-gold parts.
Solid Paint. White, blue, red and black armor parts were painted as even color surfaces rather than with a gradient.
Kit Design. Undergates, detailed part separation and the backpack/dragoons were allowed to speak for themselves.

Build process
The build was divided into four stages: dry fit and analysis, backpack/dragoons/weapons, armor painting, and gold frame/final assembly. Each stage is documented separately so the actual work can be followed without turning one long article into a human endurance test.
