GOLD FRAME& FINAL
Metallic Paint · Inner Frame · Assembly

The final stage was the inner frame. The armor and backpack were already finished, so the remaining job was to paint selected molded-gold parts and bring the entire model back together.
Disassemble the inner frame
I separated the inner frame again and sorted the parts by color. Many components are small, so holding them securely during painting required some trial and error.

Painting the molded gold
The molded-gold parts were sprayed with Mr. Metal Color Brass over a black-type surfacer. The plated gold parts were left as supplied. The intention was to preserve differences in metallic appearance rather than make every gold part identical.

Gold frame before the armor
Before installing the exterior armor, I assembled the inner frame by itself. The combination of plated gold, painted Brass and mechanical colors creates substantial detail even without the armor.

Final assembly
The painted armor was installed over the completed frame. The muted white armor and vivid blue surfaces contrast with gold visible through the gaps. Finally, the backpack and weapons were installed.

What this build taught me
A complex kit does not necessarily need extensive modification. Careful part management, controlled painting and respecting the original engineering can produce a strong result. The Brass finish also provided a useful lesson: metallic paint needs testing when the target appearance matters.
