Gradation on white versus red
White armor gave me a forgiving surface for building up shaded color. The red frame was more complicated because it contains many ridges, panel lines and small mechanical surfaces. Some extra red accents became almost invisible after assembly, which is an important limitation of subtle color changes.

Panel lining and markings
I used Tamiya gray panel-line paint, shaking it frequently because the pigments settled rapidly. I allowed the lining to dry overnight before cleanup. The shoulder markings include the kit’s dry transfers; the Tactical Arms used metallic marking stickers. These are different marking types, so the English guide deliberately does not describe them all as water-slide decals.

Protect the finish
After the basic paint, panel lining and markings were complete, I applied a matte clear coat to protect the surface before the weathering stage.
